Urad Dal ke pakode (Urad dal ke pakode ki Recipe)

These spongy pakoras are made by Urad Dal (Black Lentils). To prepare these pakoras soak urad dal overnight. Then strain the water and make a fine paste of black lentils. Add chopped green chillies, onions, coriander leaves, cumin powder and salt in the lentils' paste. Make small balls and coat them with sesame seeds. Arse

Arsa is a sweet in Garhwal region which is made by rice, jaggery and mustard oil. To make this dish the rice is soaked for a couple of hours. Then strain the water and grind the rice into a fine paste. Boil the jaggery with water until it gets thick. Then add this jaggery syrup to the rice paste. Prepare a dough and make small balls.
